Who We Are:
Maggie is my 8 year old baby! She's a mixed breed, who was horribly abused
(beaten and burned with cigarettes) before her residency at the Animal Protective League in Springfield, IL, where I adopted her from. The day I adopted her,
dogs were on "sale" for $50! Best $50 I ever spent!! I'd sell everything I own if I needed to to afford to take care of her (and the same goes
for my two cats, Ivy and Alex).
Maggie was diagnosed diabetic 1/30/09. This is my second diabetic "baby." In December 2006, I lost my first, a 20 pound orange tabby cat named Cat, but not to diabetes! That was under control.
